The Small Wars Journal blog has a post on the upcoming 2007 Boyd Conference and a block of seats.
I can’t go.
I looked over the program and saw this:
Colonel TX Hammes (USMC Ret.) and William Lind: 4GW and the future of warfare.
* Concepts of 4GW
* Is there a 5th Generation?
* Next steps in the “war on terror”
* Fallout from Iraq, Afghanistan, and Lebanon from the standpoint of 4GW
* Implications for the military (including intelligence) and the Department of Defense
Is anybody in this little part of the blogosphere attending?
Is there anyway the 5GW theory as we have been exploring it can get mentioned there?
I think Lind’s position used to be “there is no 5GW” and Hammes is really looking at high tech 4GW as 5GW.

Mark and I both got invites (man, I feel like I’m in Charlie & the Chocolate Factory…), plus I saw that John had himself as an “organizer” of the thing on Facebook, so I guess he’ll be there too.
Whatever is discussed will add to the conversation.
I hope there will be a trip report!
Dan, Mark, myself, John and Isaac are slated to go last time I checked. Should be a nice collection of blogging (especially from Marks snazzy new laptop).
