The beta of the new site is coming along rather well so far:
5GW Theory Timeline
Oh yeah, did I mention that D5GW will try to collate all blogospheric discussion of fifth generation warfare — in its many guises — for easy future reference? Ah, I thought not.
The link leads to a bare-bones workup; the design and organization of the timeline will likely undergo changes over the next couple of weeks.
Have a link or a discussion not added? (And so far, there are many not added; only 5 entries have been included in the early stage of the development of the timeline!) Leave a comment, if so; or keep watch on the timeline to see if it’s added in the normal course of things.
As if things coursed normally, when 5GW is the focus…
UPDATE: I should have mentioned: I’m adding most of the entries to the timeline myself, so far, although other D5GWers may be adding more in the future. This project has already become something of a study tool, as I refresh my memory of those posts and find things I had forgotten. Also: comments are open at the timeline, so anyone finding an entry covering his own post is welcome to suggest revisions to the summaries as the timeline progresses. Any posts now in the timeline may receive revisions as new items are added, since links from those posts to others, which are listed, may not be added until the posts they link are added to the timeline.
Additionally, I’ve made tweaks to the site design for IE 7.0 users, since the “new and improved” version of IE caused some problems to the design — like older versions of the non-standards-compliant IE. Older versions of IE may not display properly, although I hope they will; I do not have a copy of the older versions easily accessible, so I have no way to check them without much work. Let me know!

I will add some entries after all. I do have lots of links to the early stuff.
Also, my quickly-killed Wikipedia entry on 5GW has resurfaced on somebody else wiki (with only a quite added). The site appears to be a conspiracy-monger wiki. I found it through my link-from logs. Sorry, I don’t have the link handy. My home internet has been up for 15 minutes this week (!@$*^@#&*($^@&*)^ Time-Warner).
“quite” = “quote”
The earliest mention of 5GW that I have come across is in this appearance of Hammes on the Kojo Nnamdi Show on January 13, 2005. It’s part way through and brief. Hammes was responding to a caller question. It’s the same 5GW stuff he’s talked about in other places.

Thanks for the link, Phil!
Although entries on the Timeline will be added in no particular order, I’m generally following a chronological route, myself, based upon the links I already have/remember. The Sling and The Stone is another that will need to be added — hah, but I may need to add a new category for the timeline: audio files!
A very cool link; wow!
