I’m happy to announce the expansion of our talent pool at D5GW: A.E., who blogs at Simulated Laughter, a freelance political writer whose articles have appeared in Foreign Policy in Focus, Peace Magazine, and Alternet, has joined the Dreaming 5GW team!

Regular readers of D5GW will no doubt be familiar with A.E.’s writing. Besides recent examination of “Non-Governmental Organizations, Security, and Private Military Corporations”, “Decentralized Inter-Group Dynamics”, and “China’s Cyber-War Strategy”, A.E. has previously explored: the idea of “5GW and Obama” (I’m still waiting on Part Two!), in which he contrasted the Republicans with the Democrats while eying 4GW and 5GW; and “The Puppetmaster”, in which he explored PurpleSlog’s Puppetmaster Style of 5GW through the lens of Ghost in the Shell.

That last link was a cross-post with a post that appeared on D5GW’s Blorum.  The Blorum has been retired (although the threads still exist in the Forums) and A.E.’s two posts previously published there have been cross-posted directly to D5GW:

Some ideas for xGW as intellectual framework” contemplating the need for better framing in discussions of the xGW theory, and “Puppetmaster Parallel” — that’s your head start, A.E.!

(A great shout-out to Shane, as well, who was something like the “+” in the equation shown above!)

Indeed a hearty welcome and I’m looking forward to your always excellent (even when I disagree with it!) analysis.

Welcome to the team. Glad to have you.

Thanks guys!

My apologies for not commenting sooner. I had to figure out the vagaries of how to get OpenID here. Looking forward to some spirited debates over xGW>
