So, would a 5GW organization resemble a non-religious Cult with secrecy, cohesion, strange practices and goals?

Would looking like a cult be away for the 5GW org to hide its true intentions?

Would it resemble a Cult, or more like a twelve step group, where each group is more or less autonomous, but follows the same guidelines and principles as other groups?
An individual could float between groups, because the end goals would generally be the same. Twelve steps groups in general are upside down pyramids as far as organization, where the the more organized groups above are only there to provide support for the individual who is at the bottom of the pyramid.

scotty123, a starfish organization like the one you describe could certainly be a 5GW organization. However, I don’t really know if you could call it a ‘cult’.

Cults are tricky to define. After all, at what point do you stop being a cult and start being a religion an NGO or a state? I suppose that as far as a form of camoflage appearing to be a cult could be beneficial. But then again, so could appearing to be a Boy Scout troop.

I would think it would be more beneficial to be a 5GW organization hiding inside a cult or some other organization, like an invisible parasite that feeds off of a host to its own ends.

To the original question:

Before launch, yes. Consider the software development analogy again, and “Corporate Cults” [1]

Scotty,

You appear to be describing a 4GW organization.
